GFFL Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Gluten-Free Formula Lab (“GFFL”), operated by Kraemer Media, Inc. (“Kraemer Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using GFFL, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use GFFL.

1. About Gluten-Free Formula Lab

GFFL is a baking calculation, guidance, and educational application designed to assist users with gluten-free baking.

Depending on the features available, GFFL may calculate ingredient quantities, scale formulas, provide baking guidance, recommend ingredient amounts, provide pan or tray information, offer guided baking steps, provide timers, and make other baking-related information available.

GFFL continues to evolve, and features may be added, changed, tested, restricted, or removed over time.

2. Baking Guidance and Results

GFFL formulas and baking methods are developed and tested with the goal of producing reliable results. However, baking results cannot be guaranteed.

Results may vary because of differences in ingredients, ingredient brands, measuring accuracy, scales, water temperature, room temperature, humidity, altitude, proofing, fermentation, pan dimensions and materials, ovens, oven calibration, baking equipment, substitutions, user technique, and other variables outside our control.

Times, temperatures, proofing guidance, visual cues, ingredient quantities, and other baking instructions should therefore be treated as guidance rather than guarantees.

Users remain responsible for observing their bake and using reasonable judgment when operating ovens and other kitchen equipment.

3. Kitchen and Equipment Safety

Baking involves heat, hot surfaces, sharp tools, electrical appliances, heavy equipment, hot bakeware, and other normal kitchen hazards.

Always follow the safety instructions supplied by the manufacturers of your oven, mixer, pans, Dutch ovens, appliances, and other equipment.

Use appropriate oven mitts or other heat protection when handling hot equipment. Exercise particular care when removing lids from covered bakeware because hot vapor may escape.

GFFL does not replace manufacturer safety instructions or ordinary kitchen-safety practices.

4. Gluten, Allergens, and Ingredient Safety

GFFL may provide gluten-free formulas and information, but Kraemer Media, Inc. does not control the ingredients purchased or used by individual users or the environment in which food is prepared.

If you have celiac disease, food allergies, food sensitivities, or another medical condition, you are responsible for verifying that every ingredient you use is appropriate for your individual needs and for taking precautions against cross-contact or contamination.

A recipe, formula, ingredient, product, or statement appearing in GFFL should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular ingredient, product, kitchen, or finished food is free from gluten or any allergen.

Always review ingredient labels and manufacturer information.

5. No Medical or Nutritional Advice

GFFL provides baking and educational information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or individualized nutritional advice.

Information available through GFFL should not be used as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

6. User Responsibility

You are responsible for the ingredients, quantities, equipment, settings, substitutions, procedures, food handling, food storage, and other decisions involved in your baking.

You are also responsible for verifying information displayed by GFFL before relying on it when circumstances reasonably require additional caution.

Do not use GFFL while performing an activity that requires your full attention or in a manner that creates an unsafe kitchen environment.

7. Timers

Timers provided by GFFL are convenience tools.

Browser behavior, device settings, battery-saving functions, network conditions, operating-system restrictions, muted devices, audio permissions, closed browser windows, technical failures, or other circumstances may prevent a timer, visual notification, or sound from functioning as expected.

You remain responsible for monitoring your bake and should not rely exclusively on GFFL timers to prevent burning, overbaking, underbaking, fire, property damage, or other harm.

8. Accounts and Founding Baker Access

Certain GFFL features may require an account or may be made available only to invited Founding Bakers, testers, subscribers, or other designated users.

You are responsible for maintaining control of access to your email account and any authentication methods associated with GFFL.

You may not impersonate another person, attempt to obtain unauthorized access to another account, bypass invitation restrictions, or interfere with GFFL security.

We may suspend or terminate testing or account access when reasonably necessary to protect GFFL, its users, or its systems.

9. Early Access and Testing Features

Founding Baker, beta, preview, early-access, experimental, or testing features may be incomplete and may contain errors.

These features are provided for evaluation and feedback. We may modify, discontinue, reset, or replace testing features at any time.

Feedback that you voluntarily provide regarding GFFL may be used by Kraemer Media, Inc. to develop, improve, commercialize, and promote GFFL without an obligation to compensate you.

We will handle personal information associated with testing in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

GFFL and its original content, branding, application design, text, graphics, software, calculations, organization, educational material, workflows, proprietary systems, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Kraemer Media, Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Permission to use GFFL is limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable.

You may use formulas generated through GFFL for your own personal baking and other uses expressly permitted by us.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, systematically extract, republish, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, distribute, create a competing database from, or commercially exploit substantial portions of GFFL or its proprietary content without written permission from Kraemer Media, Inc.

Nothing in these Terms claims ownership over general baking principles, mathematical concepts, facts, or information that cannot legally be owned.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use GFFL to violate applicable law, interfere with or damage the service, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware or harmful code, misuse another person’s account, scrape or harvest data through automated means without authorization, circumvent access restrictions, or use GFFL in a way that materially interferes with another user’s experience.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

GFFL may use or link to third-party services, websites, videos, products, platforms, or resources.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, content, products, security, privacy practices, or performance.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

13. Availability and Changes to GFFL

We may modify, update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any portion of GFFL at any time.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser, device, operating system, oven, or other piece of equipment.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GFFL is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Kraemer Media, Inc. makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or guaranteed baking results.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kraemer Media, Inc., its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of GFFL.

This includes, without limitation, loss or waste of ingredients, unsuccessful baking results, loss of data, loss of business or profits, property damage, or injuries resulting from misuse of kitchen equipment or failure to follow appropriate safety procedures.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kraemer Media, Inc. and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of GFFL, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to GFFL if we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, compromised the security of the service, misused the application, or engaged in conduct harmful to GFFL or other users.

You may stop using GFFL at any time.

18. Privacy

Your use of GFFL is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

Please review the GFFL Privacy Policy for information about how personal information is collected, used, stored, and shared.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as GFFL evolves.

When changes are made, the effective date at the top of these Terms will be updated. Continued use of GFFL after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
