GFFL Privacy Policy

Gluten-Free Formula Lab is operated by Kraemer Media, Inc.

Effective Date: August 23, 2026

Gluten-Free Formula Lab (“GFFL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Kraemer Media, Inc.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit or use Gluten-Free Formula Lab, join our email list, participate as a Founding Baker or tester, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our services.

By using GFFL, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including your email address, name or display name if provided, account information, feedback, problem reports, survey responses, communications with us, and other information you voluntarily submit.

When you use GFFL to calculate or complete a bake, we may collect information related to your use of the application. This may include the product selected, formula selections, flour or batch weights, pan or tray selections, oven type, baking steps viewed or completed, timer activity, bake progress, bake results, and other information you choose to provide.

If GFFL allows you to upload a photograph in connection with bake feedback or a problem report, that photograph is collected only when you choose to submit it.

2. Founding Baker and Testing Data

During the Founding Baker testing period, GFFL may collect product-usage information to help us understand whether the application is working as intended and where bakers encounter difficulties.

This information may include account creation and sign-in activity, formula generation, product selections, starting and completing a guided bake, progress through baking steps, timer activity, adjustments or resets to timers, technical errors, feedback, reported problems, and whether a tester returns for additional bakes.

Where applicable, GFFL may associate this information with a Founding Baker account so that we can understand an individual tester’s experience and follow up when appropriate.

You may be given a choice regarding the sharing of certain usage analytics. Where such a choice is provided, we will honor the preference selected in the application.

3. Active Bake and Cross-Device Information

GFFL may store information about an unfinished bake so that you can resume your baking session after refreshing or closing the application.

For signed-in users, an active bake may also be stored securely on our servers so that the bake can be continued on another device.

This information may include the selected product, formula, batch weight, pan or tray, oven type, current baking step, completed steps, timer status, remaining timer duration, and related bake settings.

4. Automatically Collected Information

When you access GFFL, certain technical information may be collected automatically.

This may include browser type, device type, operating environment, pages or application functions used, dates and times of activity, anonymous session identifiers, error information, and similar technical information needed to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the service.

We may use browser storage, cookies, or similar technologies to remember settings, maintain sessions, restore unfinished bakes, understand usage, and improve the application.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through GFFL to provide and operate the application, calculate baking formulas, provide guided baking functionality, maintain user accounts, restore unfinished bakes, provide cross-device functionality, respond to questions or problem reports, evaluate Founding Baker testing, troubleshoot technical issues, improve formulas and application features, understand how people use GFFL, communicate with users, protect the security and integrity of our services, and comply with legal obligations.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for product research, analysis, statistics, and improvement of GFFL.

6. Email Communications

If you join the GFFL waitlist, Founding Baker program, email list, or otherwise consent to receive email communications, we may send you information about GFFL, early access, testing, baking resources, product updates, new features, and related offerings.

We may use third-party email service providers, including Klaviyo, to manage email subscriptions and communications.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those messages.

Transactional or service-related messages, such as sign-in links, account information, or important notices concerning the service, may still be sent when necessary.

7. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

We may share information with service providers that perform functions necessary to operate GFFL, such as website and application hosting, database and authentication services, email delivery, analytics, storage, security, and technical infrastructure.

These providers receive information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services to us and are subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, regulation, or governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Kraemer Media, Inc., GFFL, our users, or others.

If Kraemer Media, Inc. or GFFL is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the service, conducting testing, maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal requirements.

During the Founding Baker program, identifiable testing information such as usage analytics, bake information, feedback, reports, and associated media may generally be retained for up to 12 months unless a longer period is reasonably necessary or required by law.

Where appropriate, information may thereafter be deleted, anonymized, or reduced to non-identifying aggregate information used for product analysis and research.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information collected through GFFL.

However, no internet transmission, database, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You use online services at your own risk.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other information about how your personal data is used.

You may also withdraw consent to certain optional analytics where that functionality is provided in GFFL.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message.

GFFL is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

12. International Users

If you access GFFL from outside the United States, your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

These locations may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
